Term 2 tech fair 2015 reflections

Reflection: 1/13/2015
Today i researched a bit about how to disassemble a mouse. I plan to either disassemble a mouse or make a "robot". My partner is Ryan and we will probably do the mouse but we might make a robot.

Reflection: 1/20/2015
Today we tried to disassemble the mouse Ryan managed to get and we almost did it. I have also managed to researched more about how to disassemble the mouse and a bit about making robots. I also watched a few videos about mouse disassembly. I had also started to research some information on making my own computer games.

Today i had found another possible idea for the tech fair which is "bouncing paint" on a speaker and if we use it we will first show everyone the experiment and then explain how it works and give them a quiz. It was also a great idea in my opinion.

Reflection: 2/3/2015
Today i had made a spider graph which required 8 different types of communication. I found it a bit challenging to find all 8 types but in the end i managed to do it. Here is a picture of the spider diagram:

Term 2 Tech Fair 2015

Tech fair ideas:
1. Mouse disassembly
Ryan and i are going to get a mouse each and find out more about how they are made and disassemble one.We have already almost taken one apart and we found a few websites to help us do it. We will also show how it is disassembled during the presentation and the mouse is the HP x3900.
2. Robot
For this idea i want to make a robot who can walk and be remote controlled. I am planning to make it move but even if it moves slowly but it moves i think it would be a great achievement for me and ryan. We have also found a few websites to find out how to build the robot and we have lots of things to build it with. We will probably make it something like this and it might use wheels not legs:

Making a video game:
I decided that another option for the tech fair could be making a video game that could be played online by anyone and i found out about a really good game making software called "GameMaker: Studio"

Bouncing Paint:
Another option for our project would be paint that we would put on a speaker and see it's reaction to music. Then we would explain to everyone how it actually works and how many different reactions from different music we get.
